Laser Micrometer Roll Inspection System

This system is designed for the purpose of inspecting the diameter profiles
of rubber covered rolls and metal rolls. The system can also measure roundness and run-out, if the roller can be rotated during
measurement. Depending on the size of roll, it uses either 1 or 2 laser micrometers to measure diameter. As the lasers move
along the roll, they measure the diameter at a rate of 2400 samples per second. The measurements are averaged at 512 samples
to improve accuracy.
